Responsibility

Audited, certified,

and open about it.

What we owe, to whom, and how it is measured.

Our commitment

What we owe, and to whom.

These commitments were written down long before they were fashionable, and they are the standard our own auditors hold us to.

Our environment

To actively contribute towards protecting our environment by reducing the negative impact created by our processes.

Our regulators

To fully comply with all rules and regulations, in every country we manufacture in.

Our society

To actively contribute towards the uplifting of social standards, by being ethical in all our dealings.

Certifications & memberships

Independently checked.

Our certification list is being confirmed. The award below is on record; the remaining slots are held open deliberately rather than filled with claims we cannot yet evidence.

Where it applies

Four areas, one standard.

01

Product safety

Safety comes first in everything we do, and maintaining safe processes in the workplace is the responsibility of every employee. Working together as a team is what keeps our workplace safe.

02

Ethical trading

We have adopted the Ethical Trading Initiative as a leading requirement for our organisation. It empowers workers, breaks down barriers between workers and management, and helps us improve conditions across our supply chain.

03

Green agenda

Where many industries treat environmental responsibility as an afterthought, we build it in — most visibly through green manufacturing plants across the group.

04

Community

Our plants in Matara, Monaragala and Trincomalee sit inside the communities that staff them. Our CSR work focuses on health, environment and education.
